Another Reason to Love Fiddlecakes

In my birthday post, I mentioned that I got a stale cupcake at Fiddlecakes, the Nashville bakery that I adore. This hadn't happened before, and it was sad (especially on my birthday... boo...), but not the end of the world. My husband brought home a brownie in the same trip that was outstanding, so it wasn't a total loss.

Still, the good folks of Fiddlecakes must be vigilant blog-watchers, because a few days after my post I received kind and apologetic email stating basically the following:

1. They NEVER try to sell a cupcake that's more than a day old.

2. Sometimes one slips past them, and for that they are very sorry.

3. Would I like to come in and have a free cupcake?

Um, YES.

Besides the quality and deliciousness of Fiddlecakes foods (from sandwiches to tiramisu, I'd never before been the least bit disappointed), they are committed to quality and to making sure their customers are happy.

I was ninety-eight percent happy before. Now I'm one hundred.

Thanks, Fiddlecakes. I'll be by soon to pick up my replacement cupcake. And I'm sure I'll leave with a box of other gf-goodies, too, because I just can't resist purchasing your amazing treats.

Now if only you were open later than 5pm so I could fulfill those gf-snack cravings when I get off of work...
