Have I Told You Lately that I Love You? GF Product Review

I haven't done a favorites update lately, and I've been running across some awesome new (or at least new-to-me) products over the past month.

1. Top of the list? Refrigerated ready-to-bake cookie dough from the Immaculate Baking Co. Behold.

This dough makes ridiculously good chocolate chunk cookies. They are slightly chewy, they hold together like they're chock full of gluten (but don't worry, they aren't!), and they have a delicious taste through and through. No weird aftertaste, no weird flavors. They're also reasonably priced compared to other gf dough. A great purchase.

2. Shär's Chocolate-dipped Cookies. These aren't sold all over, but you can find out how to get them here. I've found them at Whole Foods. These are buttery, deliciously crumbly, and not too sweet. They're also pretty reasonable in the calories department (i.e., not a million thousand for a tiny serving). A-ma-zing.

3. Okay, off of the cookie fetish... My parents came to town a few weeks ago, and with them they brought an incredible find.

Snyder's Gluten Free Pretzels. Really? They MAKE these? These were the most pretzel-like pretzels I've had since going off of the gluten. They have that buttery/salty/bready taste that I love in regular pretzels. The only downside to them is that they are verrrry crunchy. So watch your fillings, friends.

4. The not-so-good. Julie's Organic Ice Cream Sandwiches.

I had high hopes for these. I really did! I LOVE ice cream and cookie sandwiches, and I wanted to love these. The ice cream was really tasty, but finding gf ice cream is quite easy. The cookies were... meh. Dry. Crumbly. Not very chocolate-y or flavorful. Definitely not worth the money or the calories, though I'm still going to finish them off.

If you're craving an ice cream sandwich, I'd buy some Breyer's ice cream and slap it between two of the Immaculate Baking Co.'s cookies. Bingo. Heaven.

What about you? What new products have you found that have whetted your appetite and made your taste buds sing? Spread the gf love!
