Everything on this table except the two cookbooks, the bin of cookies, and the pound cake was free.
Mom and I split up our haul and each had a lot of goodies to take home - granola bars from Granola on Main Street, "Everyday Bars" from Pamela's, vanilla cookies from Enjoy Life Foods, chocolate sandwich cookies from Schar Foods, pasta from Da Luciano's restaurant. Plus flyers and brochures and catalogs, oh my!
So far the winner for me has been Pamela's new Blueberry Lemon Everyday bar. It's healthy, loaded with fruit and oats, and very, very tasty. Almost cookie-like in texture, without being full of any bad stuff (preservatives, a million calories, etc.). Look for these on the shelves of places like Whole Foods soon!
welcome to the revgalblogpals. i have enjoyed your blog and have bookmarked 10 posts. my daughter has been dairy-, egg-, and gluten-free for several years now. she is now 26. i didn't know about cross contamination. and it is awesome to think that i can bake for her again. that pamela's baking mix sounds like a goldmine. sending my dd some home baked cookies will surely make her feel loved!
ReplyDeletei also never thought about how impossible communion is for gf folks. thanks for the post you did on this. i am going to check and see if we can order some gf wafers for our communions.
finally, i look forward to reading more of your sermons.
Glad the blog's been helpful, Susan! I consider it a ministry of sorts.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your daughter would love it if you baked something for her - it's always a great gift to get some homemade food when food can be hard to come by!
Let me know how the gf wafers work out. I'm here if you have any questions.
Blessings!
