Praise for Post: Marshmallow Pebbles

I've had some pregnancy cravings. Yup, I have.

For all of them, I've been able to make an acceptable gluten free substitue. I've had hamburgers on Udi's delicious multigrain (yet gluten free!) hamburger buns. I've baked up some cinnamon rolls using Pamela's bread mix. I've even made some fried mozzarella sticks using Ener-G's gf bread crumbs.

It's not so bad being pregnant and gluten free now, with so many great products on the market.

But the one thing I craved more than any others there was no substitute for - or so I thought.

I wanted Lucky Charms.

You know - the oat-based kids' marshmallow-filled cereal with the cheery (and somewhat creepy) leprachaun on the box? The ones that proclaim themselves "Magically Delicious"?

I wanted them.

I wanted them so badly that I almost did the unthinkable. I almost went out and bought a box, knowing I'd be sick for days. The cravings were that bad. Or perhaps I'm just that weak...

After some mad Googling and a particularly late night filled with some truly grumpy whining to my longsuffering husband, I hit the jackpot.

Holla! Post makes Marshmallow Pebbles, the newer boxes of which are GLUTEN FREE!

The best part? Those little bits of marshmallow goodness taste just like Lucky Charms marshmallows, but without the gluten.

I was wary at first, since I tried a box of so-called gluten free Cocoa Pebbles six months ago and definitely had a reaction to them. It seems that in the meantime they've cleaned up the production facility quite a bit, or at least gotten better about cleaning their lines between cereals.

They are hard to find in stores, so I ordered them online. If you click on the photo above, it'll take you to the Amazon page where I ordered mine.

Is there anything you crave that you have trouble finding gluten free?
