Advent is a-Comin'

I freaking love Advent. I really do.

It's funny, though, because I hate waiting. I hate it.

(Anyone remember all the pregnancy rants on this blog when I became overdue? Yeah...)

Advent is all about waiting. Waiting with hope. Waiting with expectation. Waiting with perseverance. Waiting even when waiting is the hardest thing of all.

I'm back at church part-time now. I'll be full-time at the start of the year. And while balancing motherhood and ministry is proving to be something a challenge (sleep deprivation, anyone?), I couldn't be happier to reenter the pulpit at any other season.

I love Advent.
