Resting and Nursing and Jesus

I've been published on Christianity Today's Her.Meneutics blog! My husband found the post late one night last week, and came to show it to me on his phone.

"Look!" he exclaimed.

"Yay!" I said back.

Then, "Wow... that woman in the photo looks a LOT like you," he said.

"Yeah," I said, "she really does."

We had a jointly awkward moment in deciding how okay it was to have my lookalike breastfeeding on the front web page of Christianity Today. Then we both grinned.

"Look!" he exclaimed.

"Yay!" I said back. We're big believers in the sacred and beautiful act of breastfeeding, and also believers that it shouldn't be stigmatized. It's not erotic. It's nourishing!
