For Women Ministers, and Those Who Love Them

A former seminary colleague of mine has recently blogged a wonderful series of posts on women in ministry. Mandy has been in ministry for many years, and I respect her deeply. The series is well worth a read, and is laced with personal anecdotes and some wonderful Midwestern humor.

Part 1: An Apology for Women in Ministry

Part 2: You Want What You Know

Part 3: Myth: The Best Defense is a Good Offense

Part 4: Dusting Off Your Feet - When You Aren't Allowed Behind the Pulpit

Part 5: When Young Girls Are Abused

Many of her points resonated deeply with me, including the idea that if I preach a really, really good sermon, I'll convince the naysayers that God really did call me to be a pastor.

Thanks, Mandy! When you write your book, I'm going to be first in line to buy it. Preach it, sistah!
