Gluten Free Surprise: Wishbone Dressings

Reading salad dressing labels gives me a headache. With all the potential gluten pitfalls, I usually resort to just making my own at home. Olive oil. Balsamic vinegar. A little lemon juice, some spices, some salt and pepper.

But when I'm looking for convenience or a tasty marinade, I still want to pick up a bottle of dressing now and then and not have to purchase bifocals to read the label.

Enter: Wishbone.

Guess who has started labeling for gluten? Hooray!

Thank you, Wishbone, for allowing me to look for that bold "GLUTEN-FREE" above your trademark, instead of having to read through the long list of ingredients.

Many of Wishbone's dressings, including Italian and Ranch, are free of gluten. They don't offer a product list because their ingredients change from time to time, so do check for the gluten free label every time you buy one.

My husband likes to marinate chicken breasts in their Italian dressing before grilling them. It gives them a nice, light flavor without being overpowering.

What's your go-to salad dressing when you don't have time to make your own?
