Women's Ministries: Try Again, Friends

I got this in the mail at church this week.

(The publisher's name has been removed to protect the absurd.)

In case you can't read the text on the top photo, it says "Still doing laundry with a washboard?"

It's an advert for a women's ministry curriculum with a national curriculum brand.

*facepalm*

I don't even know where to start...

What type of women's ministry IS this? Why on earth would I want to use this curriculum for the women at my church--most of whom are professionals, and 99% of whom would be utterly insulted by the insinuation that an advert revolving around laundry would grab their attention?

Seriously, friends, we have GOT to do better than this.

    1. Yet, it may speak to some, and encourage the professionals among you to talk about the limits imposed by thinking we are just here to do the wash! -RPh
