I woke up at 4am Tuesday with some serious tummy troubles, and the next 48 hours were a blur of stomach flu misery.
I never thought I'd say, "Wow, this makes a gluten reaction look like nothing!" But wow, it did. This bug wasn't messing around.
By the time I started rallying, my husband went down hard.
On the plus side, since we felt so sick we could only lay on the floor and drink Gatorade (in between bathroom trips...), our son took this as his opportunity to learn to babble. He seemed to be saying, "Well, since no one's entertaining me around here, I guess I'll need to entertain myself!"
Witness for yourself:
(That object he keeps reaching for is mommy's Gatorade bottle...)
Luckily the bug seems to have spared our little man. He's as vibrant as ever, albeit a bit miffed that we've been so low energy in our snuggle times with him.
I'll be back to blogging next week, friends. Forgive the hiatus.
Between now and next week I have a wedding rehearsal, wedding, and a big Sunday full of confirmation and graduation celebrations, an all-church picnic, and afternoon parties. I'm feeling mostly better, but still dragging my feet a bit. Prayers are appreciated.
On the plus side - guess who is back to her pre-pregnancy weight? Silver linings, I tell you!
Stay well, friends. Avoid this plague like... well, the plague.
